| Tugu Negara looks like a forgotten place by Malaysians. They majority of the visitors are foreigners and even the big car park was turned into a souvenir shop and stalls. 8-( Left only a few parking lots across the road.
Some facts about our national monument. 15.54m tall and comprises seven bronze figures. It was constructed in 1966 in memory of fallen heroes who gave their lives during World War II and the Emergency (1948-60). Hope all of you enjoy the coming 48th Merdeka on 31st Aug 05. |
